My Homecare & Services
Purpose of This Service
My Homecare & Services offers an on-site Shared Support Service caregiver for assisted living residents who are generally independent but may benefit from added supervision, reassurance, and occasional hands-on assistance throughout the day.
In assisted living, independent living, and supportive residential communities, residents may benefit from short caregiver visits throughout the day. This service helps fill care gaps by providing an on-site My Homecare & Services caregiver during scheduled hours to support, enrolled residents, with brief non-medical assistance as needed.
How the Service Works
One trained My Homecare & Services caregiver is present on-site
Support is shared among enrolled residents
Assistance is provided in short, task-based intervals
This service supplements but does not replace personal homecare aides
Service Hours
7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Types of Assistance Provided
All services are non-medical and may include:
Mobility assistance (walking support, wheelchair assistance)
Help retrieving items or completing brief daily tasks
Meal support (set-up, encouragement, or assistance as permitted)
Companionship, reassurance, and routine check-ins
Prompt response to minor, immediate needs
Light assistance with toileting or bathing may be provided only when:
The resident is already capable of performing the task independently
Assistance is limited to cueing, reassurance, standby help, or light support
The task falls within the caregiver’s scope and discretion
*Services are short in duration and task-specific and is not an emergency response service
What to Expect
Services are not scheduled at exact times
Requests are handled based on urgency and availability
The caregiver may be assisting another resident at the time of request
Individual service time is not guaranteed
Eligibility & Enrollment
To begin the service:
A minimum number of residents must enroll
Each resident must complete:
A Shared Support Service Agreement
A basic care needs profile
Services are provided only to enrolled residents.
Daily Participation Fees
This is a shared-access service, not hourly care.
Daily participation fees are based on the number of residents enrolled and reflect shared access to an on-site caregiver.
With fewer enrolled residents, each resident receives a higher proportion of caregiver availability, which results in a higher daily fee. As the number of enrolled residents increases, the daily fee per resident decreases because caregiver time is shared among more participants. As enrollment increases, individual caregiver availability per resident may be more limited.
This service provides shared access to a caregiver and does not guarantee a specific amount of individual service time.
Fee Schedule
A $50 non-refundable registration fee is required and will be applied to the daily service fee. Fees will apply regardless of daily usage. Two (2) weeks’ notice is required to discontinue participation. Please Contact Us for more information on fees
Important Limitations
This service:
Is non-medical
Does not include nursing or medication administration
Does not provide continuous supervision
Does not replace personal homecare services
Is not an emergency response service
The service may be modified or discontinued at the discretion of the provider, based on enrollment levels.
For emergencies, facility staff and emergency services will be contacted immediately.
Residents requiring frequent or extensive assistance may still need individual homecare services.
If enough residents express interest:
Enrollment minimums will be confirmed
Service agreements will be finalized
A start date will be scheduled
